Behind the scenes …
Many thanks for your interest! As you already know, there wilI be a new Bahama album soon! To reveal a bit, let's say it's a sunny one! There will be surprises. We are not bringing the Hookers and Holidays. This time we jam with the Falcons and the Nightingales. Hmm, but maybe it's just an insider ;-)
Anyway, it's realized with the wonderful artists from my neighbourhood at the Algarve, the local legends, The SUNDUB SOCIETY!
We'll bring some singles upfront to sweeten the wait and „HangOut“ is the first one.
The featured singers are Swedish photographer Hedvig Larsson. A highly acclaimed artist with outstanding, very unique photographic work in Vogue magazine and exhibitions around the world. We used to hang out and talk about the good things when the track "HangOut" started as a magical studio jam. Without any intention of a commercial release. But it grew, slowly, but with a lot of fun, and while Hedvig was getting comfortable with the idea of becoming part of the Bahama family, another gentleman walked in. British chef de cuisine, restaurant owner and eclectic DJ, Mr. Cutty Wren. A colourful jack of all trades who offered a few raps that perfectly rendered the beloved scenery in the Hangout. More and more the jam became a track. BTW, both are living in the small surfer's village of Raposeira, house to house, door to door. So why not perform nose to nose in the studio.
Literally it was the start of this album, a few moons ago! The first song!
Always a magical moment!
And today, it's the first single.
The song is dedicated to a small surfer's bar close to the beaches of Sagres and the wonderful people around, 'The HangOut', a magic place, chilled, lazy, warm. And so is the song ... - Oliver Belz.
Release 27. January 2023 on all the fine shop and platforms.
