There's a special, magic spark that happens when you get beloved musicians together at the right time and place. Let the tape roll, and capture the "lightning in a bottle" moments that occur when the recording light turns on. That's exactly what happened when Swedish photographer/singer Hedvig Larsson and Mr. Cutty Wren from the UK gathered in the BSC Algarve studio to lay down the tracks for 'HangOut'. Started as a reggae-ish jam, a shimmy shuffle, bit jazzy, hangout vibes. Woven threads of 70s roots, traditional rhythms and beats and sounds from the end of the world at the South Western Algarve. The song is dedicated to a small surfer's bar close to the beaches of Sagres and the wonderful people around, 'The HangOut', a magic place, chilled, lazy, warm. And so is the song ... Sincere, artistic, full of spirit and definitely unique. No striving for the worldly charts.

This was the soundtrack to our holiday in California in 2015 with (at the time) a 13 year old, 11 year old, 38 year old and 48 year old (me!). The girls created a dance in the back of the car to Blast Off. Very very happy memories.
